Author Guidelines

Avishkaran Insights invites scientists, educators, and science communicators to contribute articles that explain scientific ideas to young readers. The platform aims to make science accessible, interesting, and easy to understand for students. Many scientific publications are written for experts and use complex technical language. However, the purpose of Avishkaran Insights is different. Authors are encouraged to explain scientific discoveries and concepts in simple and engaging language that young learners can understand. Articles published on this platform are written by experienced authors and reviewed by young students. This collaborative process helps ensure that the content is clear, educational, and engaging for the intended audience.

Who Can Submit Articles

Authors may include researchers, professors, graduate students, industry scientists, educators, and science communicators who have knowledge of the topic being discussed. Each article should ideally include at least one author who has professional experience or research expertise in the field related to the article topic. This helps ensure the scientific accuracy of the information presented. Authors should be interested in communicating science to young readers and should be willing to revise their articles based on feedback from reviewers.

Target Audience

Articles published in Avishkaran Insights are written mainly for students between the ages of 10 and 16 years. Authors should keep this audience in mind when writing their articles. The explanations should be simple and clear. Difficult concepts should be explained step by step. Scientific terms should be used carefully and should always be explained so that young readers can easily understand them.

Types of Articles

  • New scientific discoveries: These articles explain recent research findings or breakthroughs. Authors describe what scientists have discovered, how the research was conducted, and why the discovery is important.
  • Core scientific concepts: These articles explain important ideas that form the foundation of scientific knowledge.
  • Technology and innovation: These articles describe new technologies that are shaping the future.
  • Science in everyday life: These articles explain the science behind common experiences.

Writing Style

Authors should write their articles in simple and clear English. The main goal is to make scientific ideas understandable for young readers. Long and complicated sentences should be avoided. Authors should use shorter sentences and clear explanations. Technical terminology should be avoided whenever possible. If technical terms must be used, they should be clearly explained in the glossary or in the text. Authors are encouraged to use examples, comparisons, and real-life situations to explain scientific ideas. A friendly and engaging tone should be maintained throughout the article.

Manuscript Structure

  • Title – The title should be short and engaging.
  • Author Information – Full name, affiliation, country, email.
  • Abstract – Short summary in simple language.
  • Introduction – Explain topic and importance.
  • Main Explanation – Step-by-step explanation.
  • Why This Matters – Explain importance.
  • Glossary – Explain key terms.
  • References – Max 10 sources.

Author Biography

A short biography of each author should be provided at the end of the article.

Word Limits

The recommended length is between 1500 and 2000 words. Abstract: 80–100 words. Glossary: 5–7 terms.

Figures and Illustrations

Figures are encouraged. Maximum 3 images. They should be clear, colorful, and simple. Each must include a caption written in simple language.

Ethical Standards

Manuscripts must be original. No plagiarism. Proper credit must be given. Conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

Important Notes for Authors

  • Articles must not be written only by children or teenagers.
  • Each submission must include a senior researcher.
  • Duplicate topics may not be accepted.
